How to mix water and oil || [ Water + Soya bean] || Scientific Beast:
We all heard from our childhood that it is impossible to mix Oil and Water.But in today's video i am going to prove it is not the truth however.
Naturally Water and oil do not mix due to its density and polarity.But there are several artificial ways (like physical emulsion and chemical emulsion ) to mix water and oil together.
When we try to mix water and oil with some hard object (like spoon or mixer grinder etc) then it is called physical emulsion.The output of physical emulsion process is not very efficient though.
But , The best way to mix water and oil is Chemical emulsion.In this process we use soap as emulsifier. In presence of soap, oil and water mix instantly.
But, i think one question come to all of your mind, why water and oil do not mix?? and how soap make the oil soluble in water?
Well the answer is pretty easy.That happen because of the molecular structure of the soap.
Soap molecule made of two main part called hydrophilic part ( water loving ) and hydrophobic part ( water hating ).Hydrophilic part of soap love to make bond with polar molecules like water.On the other hand , hydrophobic part of soap attract non polar molecules.
So, after adding soap with water and oil, soap molecules make a chain between water and soap molecules and make the oil soluble in water.
