Dry your hair with a towel until you remove the damp one, making sure it's not soaked. As a recommendation, I don't want to sound heavy-handed, but under no circumstances should you apply conditioner, creams, oils, or lotion. Wash your hair only with shampoo. It's important that your hair is squeaky clean and without any conditioner on top. This step is extremely important, so even if you feel like your hair is rough and difficult to comb, trust me and go to the next step.
*Step 2: BLOW DRY: Divine Partition*
I know your hair is incredibly tangled, but very gently, divide your hair into manageable sections using clips to hold each section. Begin the drying process very carefully until your hair is 100% dry. Under no circumstances should you use detangling lotions. And clean your brushes well so you don't contaminate your hair with residue from a previous blow-dry.
*Step 3: ACTIVATOR: The Magic Mix*
It's time to mix the elixir of smoothness! Place Cocoa #02 Brazilian Straightening Spray in a suitable container. Take two-centimeter sections and apply the product with a barrette, one centimeter away from the scalp. Then, run a fine-bristle comb through your hair to distribute the product from the roots to the ends. Your hair shouldn't be soaked or dry. It should look like it hasn't been washed in a week and feel buttery smooth. It should also look as if the straightening product touched it, but not wet it. Use the comb to distribute it well and, if necessary, apply more product. If you have to choose between applying or not applying the product, it's better to apply more and overdo it than to apply less and the product won't work. Repeat this procedure all over your hair, trying not to touch your scalp, but try to get as close as possible.
*Step 4: AIR DRY: Time to Cook!*
Once you've applied EL Brasil Cacau #2, it's time to set the treatment in your hair. You should let the product sit on your hair for 30 minutes in sunny weather or 40 minutes outdoors. Then, use a hairdryer to dry your hair until it's completely free of moisture. This step is crucial. Get ready to blast steam, turn on the extractor fan, put on a mask and gloves, and go all out! Think of it like baking a cake: if you don't bake it long enough, you won't get the desired results!
**Step 5: STRAIGHTENING: The Moment of Truth
Now that your hair is dry, it's time to polish it like a pro. Use a hair straightener to straighten sections no larger than 1 cm. The layers you're going to take should be thin to achieve a tight fit. Make sure to apply heat evenly: 180°C if your hair is color-treated and 200°C if your hair is natural and thick. It's like putting the finishing touches on a work of art! Keep in mind that you're a beauty professional and you'll only be as good as your last salon job. By now, it'll have been more than two hours, so stay motivated because we don't have much time left.
*Step 6: SEALING! Final Wash!*
After flat-ironing each section, let your hair cool for 5 minutes.
It's time to wash it again to remove any product residue. Let the water flow through your client's hair until it runs clear and no product residue remains. Then, apply step 3 all over the hair, including the scalp. This product will stabilize the pH of the hair and skin, returning it to its natural pH. Leave it on for 10 minutes and try not to massage it too much. Finally, rinse with plenty of water until everything is removed. Take your client back to the salon chair. Right at this moment, you'll be feeling anxious because the moment of truth is approaching, where you'll see the results of your hard work.
*Step 7: BLOW DRY AND FINAL STRAIGHTENING: The Moment of Revelation!*
Blow dry your client's hair without applying any creams or styling products, and straighten her hair as usual. Informing your client that she should not wash or wet her hair for two days, as well as using a sulfate-free and salt-free shampoo to prolong the life of the straightening treatment. Also, warn her to avoid pool and beach water at all costs.
