BMW has officially revealed the all-new F 450 GS, and it might be the most important small adventure bike the company has ever built. This lightweight parallel-twin GS replaces the G 310 GS and delivers 48 horsepower, a 392-pound wet weight, and true adventure styling in a beginner-friendly, A2-class package.
With its new BMW–TVS developed engine, strong low-rpm torque, 19/17-inch wheels, and touring-ready ergonomics, the F 450 GS looks ready to dominate the entry-level ADV segment against rivals like the Honda NX500, KTM 390 Adventure, and Royal Enfield Himalayan.
But there’s a big problem — American riders will have to wait, and the expected price could make this one of the most expensive bikes in its class. Is the new baby GS worth it, or will buyers look elsewhere?
