New BF3 Multiplayer Features | Confirmed Console News -- BNW Gamescom Edition
Welcome to the second Gamescom edition of Battlefield News Weekly. In this episode Ill cover, BF3 Multiplayer Features, BF3 Console Server Browser, and how Smoke will Work in Battlefield 3.

First Story: Recently, more information on specific multiplayer features have began to trick out. Some of the most notable of these features are that players and vehicles within a close proximity of where smoke is popped gain spot immunity for a few seconds. Another notable feature is that there will be no throw able motion sensors unlike Bad Company 2 where they were available to use. It is also confirmed that the Team Deathmatch game type will be 24 players on all platforms and focus on infantry heavy game play on a selected part of a map. Second Story: It has recently been announced that console versions of Battlefield 3 will in fact include a server browser. Server Browsers are popular on PC as they let you choose what map, game type and player count that you want, it is also notable that server browsers were not commonly used on consoles, and Battlefield games on consoles before Battlefield 3. Third Story: The spotting feature from Battlefield Bad Company 2 will be modified slightly for Battlefield 3. In Battlefield 3 you cannot see some one that is spotted if they go behind cover, this means that spotting will only be effective against those that are out in the open. It has also been confirmed though; that vehicles that are spotted can be seen at all times, form any place when they are spotted. A link to the full explanation can be found in the description.
