In 1764, the Hacienda del Cochero began operating as a dungeon.
This secret prison housed torture devices specialized in inflicting pain. They housed condemned prisoners whose confessions, often false, were extracted through prolonged torture and punishment, with the sole purpose of ending the torment to which they were subjected.
