Hello, this is petit plants!

Today, we tried hydroponic cultivation of Lithops. Can Lithops be grown hydroponically like other plants? We conducted a month-long experiment with Lithops aucampiae.

Experiment Process
We cleaned the roots of six Lithops and removed the soil.
Despite concerns about Lithops not liking water, we found that healthy Lithops can be soaked in water for a day without any issues.
It was fine to rinse them with a showerhead.
We carefully placed the Lithops in a holder to ensure the growth point did not touch the water.
We used a plate to support the Lithops for over three weeks in water.
Experiment Results
Day 1: The experiment began.
Day 7: Many new roots appeared.
Day 14: More new roots and many fine roots emerged. The Lithops grew taller.
Day 28: While the roots seemed healthy, the Lithops started to lean over. One showed signs of rot at the growth point.
Conclusion
Lithops can be grown hydroponically.
However, due to significant elongation, it's not recommended unless necessary.
Although one Lithops died, this is similar to the typical failure rate in hydroponic cultivation. For more plant information and experiment results, please subscribe and like!
