For us, this is the powerful love song ever written.
It’s a true hymn to love, one that we, as people from Sardinia, feel deeply connected to, just as we are viscerally tied to our land.
The lyrics were written in the early 1900s and set to music a few years later.
Typically, the artists who perform this song stay true to the original version, presenting it from the perspective of the one writing to their beloved.
There are various theories about why these words were written.
We’ve worked to preserve the original meaning while altering the words and we aimed to interpret the song in a different way, rather than expressing it from the perspective of the writer. Our version is meant to be understood from the point of view of the one receiving these words, with the painful awareness that the person they love will never return.
For this, we chose the title "Goodbye."
For us, this is the key factor that completely changes the interpretation of the song.
Those who are truly capable of love can continue to love even when their beloved is no longer there. Love transcends time and space.
It’s possible to love someone who is no longer with you, whether by choice or due to other circumstances.
Love is stronger than loss, anger and grief.
In the end, when everything fades and time heals all wounds, for those capable of love, what remains is love it-self, along with the memories left by the one they loved.
We see our version of this song as more of a journey, a story, rather than just a song and we sought to convey the emotions and sensations of this journey through the images chosen for the video.
With a crescendo, the music guides the listener from the beginning, recalling the beauty of the past as if the beloved were still present, to the painful awakening of reality and finally, to acceptance and peace.
It’s easy to love those who are with us, but far more difficult to continue loving those who are no longer with us. We leave it to the listener to decide how to interpret and feel the song, but in the end…

A 18 anni esatti dalla morte dell' immenso Andrea Parodi, noi gli rendiamo omaggio con questa canzone, essendo la sua la più famosa versione conosciuta.
Non c'è la minima intenzione da parte nostra di poter affiancare il nostro lavoro al suo, né di avvicinarci all'interpretazione di quella che è stata e continuerà ad essere una delle voci più belle al mondo, appartenute ad un Uomo incredibile.

Per noi è semplicemente la più profonda canzone d’amore che sia mai stata scritta.
Un vero e proprio inno all’amore, al quale noi sardi siamo profondamente legati, così come siamo legati in modo viscerale alla nostra isola.
Il suo testo è stato scritto agli inizi del 1900 e messo in musica pochi anni dopo.
Generalmente gli artisti che interpretano questo brano lo fanno nel modo più ovvio, dal punto di vista di colui che scrive alla sua amata.
Ci son varie ipotesi che spiegano le ragioni per le quali siano state scritte quelle parole.
Noi abbiamo lavorato per mantenere lo stesso significato pur cambiando la forma ed abbiamo voluto interpretare il brano in maniera diversa dal solito; non dal punto di vista di chi scrive.
La nostra versione è da intendere dal punto di vista di chi legge quelle parole, attribuendo però al lettore la consapevolezza che la persona che ama non tornerà mai più.
Da qui: ‘’Goodbye’’(Addio).
Questo fattore per noi cambia totalmente la chiave di lettura del brano.
Chi riesce ad amare veramente è in grado di farlo anche nella condizione nella quale il proprio amato/amata non ci sia più.
L’amore va oltre il tempo e lo spazio.
Si può amare anche una persona che non è più presente.
Indipendentemente dalle cause, per sua scelta o per altri eventi.
L’amore è più forte della perdita, della rabbia, del lutto.
Alla fine quando tutto passa, quando il tempo avrà pulito e curato, per chi è in grado di amare, l’amore rimane, insieme ai ricordi che chi abbiamo amato ci ha lasciato.
Noi cerchiamo di vedere la nostra versione più come un viaggio, una storia, non unicamente come una canzone ed abbiamo cercato di trasmettere le emozioni e sensazioni di questo percorso tramite le immagini scelte per il video.
Creando un crescendo che vuole accompagnare l’ascoltatore dall’inizio, dal ricordo del bello, come fosse ancora il presente, fino al risveglio ed al dolore che la consapevolezza porta con sé, mostrando però che alla fine vi è l’accettazione e la pace.
È facile amare chi c’è, mentre è molto difficile amare chi non c’è più.
All’ascoltatore la libera interpretazione, ma voi amate, amate forte, non abbiate rimpianti.
