Kerbal Space Program - SNECMA AP 507 - Another Drawing Board Fantasy
Well, it seems people like replicas of vessels that never made it off the drawing board, so here is another!This is the SNECMA AP 507, a Coleopter or 'Tailsitter'.
Very little is known about this very unusual aircraft.... and to be fair, it's probably for the best!
The Coleopter concept was a doomed idea from the start, as far as I am aware there has only been one Coleopter built to date and only one flight... it didn't land in one piece unfortunately and the whole project was scrapped leaving a plethora of concepts on the drawing board.
I haven't even tried one bit to force this to work, we learn by mistake and thankfully SNECMA realised this straight away.
