DO WE BUY GRAPHICS CARDS?
We run a big YouTube tech channel in the Czech Republic called @geekboy, which has over 200 000 subscribers and covers graphics cards and other computer components. Our review samples are often provided by the manufacturers (AMD, Intel, NVIDIA), or by major AIB partners (ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI, Palit, and others). If we can't obtain a card, we sometimes purchase it at our own expense.
CAN YOU TRUST OUR TESTS?
Yes, you can trust our tests. All overlay footage is individually recorded by our colleague Jakub, who dedicates a significant amount of time to recording, editing, and rendering. We ensure that only the graphics card changes in our tests. Other hardware (CPU, motherboard, RAM,..) remains the same. FPS statistics are displayed using the robust RivaTunner tool, and footage is recorded with an external Elgato 4K Pro capture card to avoid affecting computer performance.
RESOLUTION / GRAPHICS SETTINGS
When we test the new graphics card, we measure performance at three different resolutions (1080p, 1440p, and 4K). Then we choose the most suitable resolution for the duel we're publishing. So, please always check the resolution we mention in the video title or at the top of the video description. Additionaly, we typically use the highest graphics settings to minimize CPU bottlenecks, and we do not use upscaling techniques such as DLSS, FSR, or Intel XeSS while recording.
