Mallet finger is an injury to the tendon that straightens the end joint of the finger or thumb.
As a result of the injury, the person affected is unable to actively straighten their finger/thumb at the end joint.
Treatment for Mallet Finger usually involves:
A custom thermoplastic splint that will hold your finger in the correct position for healing.
Education about your injury and how best to manage it

In some cases, surgery may be required.
