If your product is successful at some point you will face potential scaling issues, as more and more people start using your product. This can be specially true if the growth ratio is high. In this video I cover the most typical scaling problems that company face, plus the strategies to overcome them.
The most typical scaling problem are:
Scaling your infrastructure, this can be the case both in cloud products but also in physical products. In a nutshell you are not able to cope with the demand for your product.
Scaling your team, as humans there is so much that we can do, and at some point there might not be enough people in your team to cover the demand for improvements, changes or fixes and your product and you need to hire more people. This can be a trap that hyper-growth startups can easily fall into, by hiring a ton but not being able to drive that growth.
Scaling internationally, another very tempting strategy for companies is to grow internationally or expand into new markets. But new markets (specially in B2B) have specific demands and requirements your product will need to comply for. And in most of the cases half baked approaches will mean that your product won't penetrate that market.
