Pakistan has strongly condemned Indian Chief of Defence Staff General Bipin Rawat’s irresponsible and gratuitous remarks about Pakistan.
According to foreign office spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri, the Indian CDS’s unabated anti-Pakistan vitriol is reflective both of his completely flawed understanding of Pakistan’s realities as well as his patently politicized approach.
His tirade is also illustrative of the RSS-BJP mindset, a dangerous mix of extremist “Hindutva” ideology and expansionist “Akhand Bharat” designs.
The spokesperson said that it is a sad fact that this mindset has permeated the state institutions of India, including the armed forces.
The Indian CDS’s diatribe against Pakistan cannot divert attention from India’s myriad internal and external wrong-doings. As a consequence of the ‘Hindutva’ policies, religious places in India are regularly desecrated, mob lynching take place with state complicity, and persecution of minorities and disadvantaged segments grows by the day. Most notably, state-terrorism against innocent Kashmiris in IIOJK is pursued by India as an instrument of state policy.
The spokesperson said that General Rawat would be well-advised to focus on his professional domain, rather than continuing to make a career out of anti-Pakistan rhetoric.

In the backdrop of US-Taliban talks, prospects of peace in Afghanistan are imminent. A recent report issued by (IPRI) Islamabad Institute of Policy Research uncovered four key agendas of Indian digital media which illustrate India’s nefarious designs against Pakistan.
1. Campaign Against Pakistan Armed Forces
Indian media is launching a campaign against Pakistan army through its paid groups, social and mainstream media. Indian media is attempting to fuel civil-military discontent. In the current scenario, some political and ideological differences of political parties are depicted as anti-army uprisings. Social media is using as a tool to defame Pakistan army. Pro-Indian groups fuel the notion of army’s involvement in politics. Some political differences also go in favour of such ideas.
2. Fueling Civil Unrest in Pakistan
Over the issue of Mr Safdar Awan’s arrest, and resign of Sindh police officers, Indian media shared plotted picture depicting that the civil unrest is initiated in Karachi. Through fake pictures, they try to depict that Sindh Police and Pakistan army are facing each other. This shows how Indian media is observing a minor internal issue of Pakistan to confuse people.
3. Propaganda on Indian Illegal Occupation of Kashmir
The unrest over illegal occupation of Kashmir by Indian forces is assuming new heights. Indian is exposed internationally for its atrocities in occupied Kashmir (IOK), to cover this failure, Indian media trying to scuttle Kashmir freedom effort. India put the blame of Pulwama incident on Pakistan without conducting any investigation and Indian median propagate it vehemently.
4. Sabotaging China Pakistan Economic Corridor
Taking advantage of America’s rivalry against China, India is leading a campaign against CPEC. The false idea spread through media that CPEC would eat away Pakistan’s Industrial sector. In addition, an attempt to defame and malign General Asim Salim Bajwa also remains in Indian Media.
In reality, India itself remained engaged in all forms of nefarious terrorist activities.
