In this video, we will rank and explore William Shatner's 10 greatest movies. When you think of William Shatner, obviously the first thing that’s going to come to mind is his work as Captain James Tiberius Kirk in the Star Trek franchise. And how couldn’t it? After all this is quite simply one of the most famous and popular creations that pop culture has given us over the last century. So popular is it in fact, even now, several decades after first appearing in the original Star Trek series back in 1966, it remains a cultural touchstone amongst viewers both old and young.
But to say William Shatner’s career is only Star Trek would be a lie as he’s given us plenty more to remember him by over the years. Let’s not forget, this is the man who found a whole late career second wind with his role in T.J. Hooker during the eighties, and then a third wind on top of that with his work in Boston Legal throughout the 2000’s. In fact, it would be his work in the latter project which saw him win both a Golden Globe and an Emmy for his efforts.
And then there are the times he’s shone on the big screen too. And no we’re not just talking about those Star Trek movies which let him bring back Captain Kirk for a couple of hours. Rather we’re talking about his performances in Miss Congeniality, Osmosis Jones, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and many others which all show he’s far more than one role.
