Westeria is a German manufacturer of windsifting and conveying technology specifically designed for the Waste-to-Energy and recycling industries. The patented windsifting solution from Westeria allows the separation of heavy fraction (contaminants) from the light fraction in one easy step.
Typically, these machines are installed in Waste-to-Energy applications after pre-shredding, screening, and ferrous metal removal steps to separate the high BTU value material from contaminants like rock, gravel, nonferrous material, etc. To increase the value of recycled materials and/or high BTU levels in fuel, Westeria offers a wide range of designs that can separate materials into 2, 3 or even 4 different fractions.
In this video you will see the NEW and improved AirStar windsifter. The AirStar uses a unique, patented Westeria system that offers the highest aerodynamic efficiency and allows a throughput of up to 400 m³/h. The sophisticated design of it's air nozzles allows our clients to produce a precise, uniform airflow for perfect separation results. In doing so, you can achieve a 60% higher core jet speed than comparable air classifiers and even consume less energy.
The flexible AirStar is available in different versions. Working widths of 1000 – 3000 mm and different sizes of the lightweight material chamber allow the windsifter to be flexibly integrated into any plant. Optionally, our AirLift can be integrated to save space and separate an additional “ultra-light” fraction. All components of the separator are easily and individually adjustable and accessible to facilitate maintenance. Thanks to the modular design, the machine is easy to customise, can be transported in a space-saving way and can be assembled in just one day.
