WATCH IN 1440p.This is a reupload from earlier in the week. YouTube renders videos in an avc1 codec, among others, which makes videos look very bad and pixelated. These videos are already ripped off twitch, which has a capped bitrate, and YouTube re-renders the twitch VOD to an even worse quality because of this codec. Channels on YouTube that are bigger get an automatic codec applied that makes videos look better quality. In order to force this quality on videos, they must be uploaded in at least 1440p, but while the video is rendered on a different codec, the quality improvement will not be seen unless viewed at 1440p. For all future videos from twitch vods, I will rescale to 1440p to force a vp09 codec for better quality, even if the bitrate from twitch is low.
