Part 3 of our series on fixing the water issue in our basement. We are trying to do the layout of our french drain trench.
We are trying to fix the foundation water drainage issue and therefore are digging up the foundation on our 120 year old mansion. The basement has water coming in when it rains a lot and therefore we need to add a french drain system around the perimeter of our home. Digging under the porch is no fun as there is not a lot of space for any heavy equipment, we therefore have to dig it all by hand!
