GLAAD Honors 2024
On behalf of GLAAD’s Communities of Color and Media department, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you who joined us at #GLAADHonors, powered by Gilead Sciences. It was an evening filled with celebration, recognition, and solidarity as we honored the remarkable contributions of Black LGBTQ+ individuals to our communities and culture. Throughout the event, we had the privilege of acknowledging the exceptional efforts of our Black LGBTQ+ nominees of the GLAAD Media Awards, whose visibility and advocacy continue to inspire and empower us all.
We would like to extend a special thank you to our talented performers from GLAAD’s 2024 Equity in Media and Entertainment (EMEI) Cohort: 2 AM Ricky, Asiahn, SHAH, Suni MF, and Victor Jackson. Your electrifying performances added an extra layer of vibrancy to the evening, reminding us of the diverse talents within our community.
Additionally, we are immensely proud of the winners of the Black Queer Creative Summit Pitch Competition: Alexander King, Donnie Hue, and Soy Giraud. Your innovative projects reflect the richness of Black queer creativity and storytelling, and we cannot wait to see your visions come to life.
