Roth Conversion - Should You Do It?
In this episode of the Saving Your Future Podcast by Sean P Moran we talk about the potential benefits of a Roth conversion. This means converting your traditional IRA or 401(k) to a Roth.
The benefit is derived from the fact that our current tax rates are at historic lows and likely you got your tax deferral at a higher rate. By doing the conversion we are effectively converting tax deferred (tax to be paid later in retirement) to tax free in retirement for a smaller tax today.
