Omicron Chi Omega serves Prince William County
In 1985, the Omicron Chi Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha was founded.
Nearly 40 years later, the organization continues to serve members of Prince William County.
It focuses on 6 initiatives: strengthening its sisterhood, empowering families, building economic wealth, enhancing the environment, advocating for social justice, and uplifting the local community.
The sorority seeks to empower families in a couple of ways. A Youth Leadership Institute is one program offered.
“This is all about empowering our young students – middle age 11 through 13 – and giving them tools and techniques to be our next generation leaders,” President Christina Henry Roberson explained.
