Visuals of Courtney Love performing live with Hole, late 1998. I liked that one album. And now I must admit I very much like her later work as well, in spite of my reluctance! She has been a jerk so much of the time, at least in public, but I think she is an exceptional artist, and will always face that choice, and I enjoyed this performance. She has true presence, and the ever ready option of making great music in the future. I hope she will. At this show I was a small fish among big penis sized media video cameras at this event, my sound blew out completely. But I loved the photographical essence of the footage. When I dropped Jim Irwin's song "Wasted Moon" over it it clicked. Singer songwriter Jim Irwin of the band 'Moving Parts'. Somehow when I watch it I see her as the human being and artist she is, and not the showboat media monster she is known for. While everyone was watching her tits, I was observing her expressions. And in the light of who and what is the nature of her widowhood, the overdub rings true. I was with the Mark Lanegan band that night.
