This is part 1 of a 2 part series where we test the design skills of DALL·E.
If you're unfamiliar with DALLE, it's an image generating AI. It will attempt to create images based on prompts that you provide. Turns out it has some ok design skills!
In this video I take a look at creating a fitness app using SwiftUI, and having DALLE provide the design templates.
Obviously this is just for fun. I think the designs can be great for layout and colour ideas, but not much else. Generally app design is based around content. The content comes first, then you work out the best way to present that to the user. This means that DALLE may end up creating UI elements that just don't make sense for your app.
Feel free to use it for inspiration, but I think websites like Dribbble are far better for that.
