Creating a blended text shadow in Adobe Illustrator can add depth and dimension to your designs. Follow these steps to achieve the effect:

*Step 1: Open Illustrator and Create a New Document*
Launch Adobe Illustrator and create a new document of your desired dimensions.

*Step 2: Add Text*
Use the Text Tool (T) to add the text you want to apply the blended shadow to.

*Step 3: Duplicate Text*
With the text selected, press Ctrl / Cmd + C to copy and Ctrl / Cmd + V to paste. You now have two identical text layers.

*Step 4: Adjust Text Position*
Move the duplicated text slightly behind or to the side of the original text. This will create the shadow effect.

*Step 5: Apply Blending Mode*
With the duplicated text selected, open the "Transparency" panel (Window - Transparency). In the panel, change the blending mode to "Multiply" or "Linear Burn." This will make the duplicated text layer act as a shadow.

*Step 6: Adjust Opacity*
Reduce the opacity of the duplicated text layer in the Transparency panel. Start with a lower value (around 30-40%) and adjust to your liking.

*Step 7: Adjust Color*
If your shadow appears too dark, you can adjust the color of the duplicated text to a darker shade of the original text color. Use the Color Picker to choose a suitable color.

*Step 8: Refine Position and Blur*
Fine-tune the position of the shadow by nudging it slightly if needed. You can also add a Gaussian Blur effect (Effect - Blur - Gaussian Blur) to the duplicated text layer to soften the shadow.

*Step 9: Group the Elements*
Select both the original text and the duplicated shadow text, then group them (Object - Group or Ctrl / Cmd + G).

*Step 10: Save and Export*
Once you're satisfied with the blended text shadow effect, save your Illustrator file. You can also export your design in various formats, such as PNG or JPEG, for sharing or use in other applications.

Feel free to experiment with different blending modes, opacities, colors, and positioning to achieve the desired shadow effect. This technique can add depth to your typography and make your designs more visually appealing.

Remember to adjust the settings based on your specific design needs and preferences.
