A Lousy Tour of a Lousy eMachines eTower 633is from 2000
Most modern PCs can usually get on the internet and do things out of the box because their hardware is actually capable of doing so. This PC probably wasn’t even in the year 2000. Welcome to the terribly equipped eMachines eTower 633is, with a 633MHz socket 370 Intel Celeron, 32MB (!!!) of RAM and a 10GB hard drive. Slow probably wouldn’t even have begun to describe it, which is why someone upgraded this to have 128MB of RAM, as well as throwing Windows 2000 onto it over its factory Windows Me installation.
This poor thing has been put through the wringer. Viruses, dodgy antivirus software and LimeWire are the name of the game - and with a bunch of files dated to 2004 and 2005, it’s certainly a relic of its time that reminded me of the bad ol’ days of the internet.
