Well, you can't say that the final stretch of the 2023-24 NHL season wasn't exciting... Even if it didn't end the way I wanted to (thanks, Torts). Of course, I can help to rectify that with the power of modding.
The last PC NHL game that EA released (to date) is NHL 09. Fortunately, the modding community has kept EA's last PC venture up to date. So let's take a look at EA's final hockey game for the home computer and its signature Be A Pro game mode...

NHL 09 is a simulation-style hockey game published by EA Sports in 2008. The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version of the game was developed by EA Canada while the PlayStation 2 and Windows PC version was developed by HB Studios. This was the final EA NHL game released on the PS2 and PC.
NHL 09 is the first game in the series to feature the Be A Pro game mode. This sees you focus on playing and development of one NHL player as you play through their career.
This game is modded using the Amnesiac 2023-24 roster update and additional recommended update mods from the WasserLasser forums:
