Growing toxic work culture at corporates is making people quit jobs. However, before quitting your job, you are bound by two clauses, "NON-COMPETE CLAUSE" and "NOTICE PERIOD". Non compete clause can be pre-termination and post-termination. The same is explained in Section 27 of the Indian Contracts Act. Post-Termination clauses are not applicable it India and you can work with the company's competitors as well. However, it is mandatory to serve a 15-90 days Notice Period to your employer before leaving. If the same is not followed, your salary will not be given and your relieving letter will also not be given.
