This was the case of little Sandra Cantu, a young girl who lived in the small community of Tracy, California, some 70 miles south of Sacramento. She was snatched straight off the street and made to endure horrible things, then her body was stuffed in a suitcase and dumped in a river.
But the culprit was not someone you would expect. She was 28 years old, she was a neighbor and friend of the Cantu family, and she taught Sunday school at the local church. Her behavior baffled the police, the community, and even herself.
