I had some time to call scammers this week. These group of scammers were running Microsoft tech support scams, though what type exactly remains a mystery. They weren't running the standard pop up scams and hung up during an earlier session where I told them that I had a virus earning on my computer screen. At that point I decided to just wing it and ramble non stop, which they didn't like, taking their away their ability to talk and read their scripts to me.
The number was reported but I cannot confirm if the telecom took it down or they (the scammers) simply had enough of my calls and turned it off themselves. Calling the number back did present a disconnection message so it looks like the number was nuked somehow.
I will be back to posting more calls since I now have the time and a better equipped PC for the task. Enjoy the scammer frustration and stay safe out there.
