DEFINITIONS OF CHEMISTRY 1 (ACID)
This section introduces terms and definitions which make up the vocabulary of the
language of chemistry. Starting with atoms it progresses to elements, molecules, and
compounds. It shows how a substance can be simply represented by a chemical formula
made up of both letters and numbers. Many of the terms may be familiar to the layperson,
but not necessarily their precise definitions in the context of chemistry.
