They remembered the vessel they had created, holding an entity capable of wreaking destruction upon the maps, though it wasn't strong enough on its own if it were to be unleashed just like that. They already captured it themselves with lesser numbers, who’s to say it wouldn’t happen again? They needed to grant the vessel power. Not just power, the vessel needed energy, sacrifices, a consciousness. The vessel could not be awoken without it. Eventually, they had gotten everything they needed. It was time.
