On this holiday of renewal, let us take a moment to consider the animal most associated with Easter: rabbits, specifically the Desert Cottontail.
Often overlooked despite being commonly encountered, these rabbits are not only cute, but able to survive against all odds (and an extensive list of predators) in the expanses of arid North America.
