Heimdall: Powerful Keeper of the Bifrost | Epic Hybrid Viking Music
The mighty Heimdall, son of Odin, is the invincible guardian of Asgard. He stands at the gates of the Bifrost, the rainbow bridge linking Asgard, the kingdom world of the Æsir tribe of gods, to Midgard, the world of humans.
His dark resounding horn Gjallarhorn is blown to warn the other gods and goddesses of impending danger like an attack against Asgard.
I took great pleasure in composing an ode to the 'shiniest' of all gods, who gave me a vision of the Bifrost, multicolored and unreachable by humans, except in the musical and poetic imagination.
Our way of inhabiting the world is echoed in our arts. Music seems to me like one of the most powerful means of paying homage to the light and dark realms of the beyond, which when humans were still young and treading a new land, accompanied their discoveries with the powers of their deities.
