I rode Krusi bareback for the first time, and it was also my last ride on her! Of course, that makes me sad, but I've come to terms with it and enjoyed our last few days together.
Why was it Krusi's last ride?
Krusi is saying goodbye to the internet ☹️
Together with her owner, we decided that Krusi won't be moving with me.
Regardless of the fact that it would also mean a greater distance for the owner to his horse, I've reached my limits in recent months with my workload of horses, university, work, and personal life. Physically and mentally, it was simply too much, I had to admit that. Writing state exams, four horses, a dog, a partner, and work... somewhere along the way, I reached my breaking point, and something had to change.
I'm incredibly sad because I've always treated Krusi like my own horse, and now it feels like I'm selling my own horse. It was always planned that she would stay with me forever. But plans change, priorities change, and in the future I want to be able to focus more on my own horses, or simply spend some quiet time at the stables again without having to "work through" one horse after another. I don't know anyone at the new location, so the responsibility for all the horses would initially rest solely on me. Since it's not exactly around the corner, no one I know can "just pop over" to help if I'm sick, for example. And I also want to have more time away from the horses, not least to further my career. All these factors influenced my, or rather our, decision.
So Krusi will be moving to her owner, who has known her since she was six months old. To the farm where she was born. So for her, it's not such a big deal. But Duffy and I will miss the crazy noodle terribly in our daily lives. She's not going anywhere. I'll definitely visit them 🐴❤️

My name is Lilly and I live near Hamburg. Horses have been a constant part of my life for as long as I can remember. I've competed in dressage up to and including Medium level, and in show jumping up to Elementary level.
I bought my very first horse in 2018. Before that, we only had ponies. We've since had several other four-legged friends in our lives, whom you'll meet in my videos.
