Passions have been running high in Armenia for over a week. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's decision to return four occupied villages in the Gazakh region to Azerbaijan has sparked protests across the country. Disgruntled residents of Yerevan and border Armenian villages took to the streets, demonstrating against the return of the Azerbaijani villages and demanding the resignation of the head of state. They are supported by opposition forces, who are attempting to escalate the already tense situation. The revanchists are trying in every way to prevent Armenian Defense Ministry sappers from clearing mines near a bridge in the village. At one point, they ran into the area where, according to them, demining was taking place. They were stopped by the police.
