In this video of me drawing a fantasy hex map, you will see how to draw, or how not to draw, a D&D hex map. This one started out as just a doodle to test out some isometric graph paper, but became something of a full map. It's a region / world map that you could use for 5th Edition (or any other edition) and any other roleplaying tabletop game.
