This 14-Year-Old iMac is DYING… Can I Save It?
I got my hands on a free 2011 27-inch iMac, and instead of letting it collect dust, I decided to bring it back to life! I took it apart, upgraded the RAM, swapped in an SSD, and even reapplied thermal paste on both the CPU and GPU to help with cooling. But the real test? Installing Linux Ubuntu Cinnamon to see if it could make this aging iMac usable again in 2025. Can Linux really revive 14-year-old Apple hardware?
