Make 3D Prints Look Like Distressed Painted Metal
When I was working on Your Pet Eye, I used a technique for making some 3D printed parts look like metal parts with beat up, chipped paint on them.
People seemed interested in that, and I thought maybe it would be useful to share how I did it.
For this you will need the following:
3D printed part
Spray primer
Hammered black spray paint
Hammered silver spray paint
Spray paint for a top coat (color of your choosing)
Vaseline (petroleum jelly)
500-grit wet-dry sandpaper
Optional: black acrylic paint or black shoe polish
