GO SKATEBOARDING DAY 2024 in Seattle, WA
This year Go Skateboarding Day was certainly special, to say the least. Skateboarding has been on the rise in this city recently and coming out of the pandemic people are eager to skate and take hold of the summer again. There were so many people that I ran into this year compared to any years prior, and I would have to say this was one of my favorite Go Skate Day's yet. Shoutout to all the homies that I got to hangout with, and all of the amazing tricks landed throughout the day that didn't make it on any cameras. Some things are better remembered off camera anyways.
This year, I started off with a warm up session in Capitol Hill at Cal Anderson Tennis Courts and spoke a little bit about what's been on my mind lately, as it's been a year since I've started uploading again and wanted to give a little bit of an update and... provide some clarity. Then I met up with the homies at SeaSk8, the Seattle Center Skatepark, and vibed out there for a while. That session barely even made it on camera, everybody was killing it non-stop. Shoutout to Tanner for helping film as well.
Then I hit up Lower Woodland Skatepark in Green Lake for a Tactics Boardshop contest/event, and witnessed some shreddery and won a bunch of cool swag and skate equipment. Major shoutout to Roman for filming, even though it was his first time using the camera he did a great job and idk how I would've filmed most of the event without him. But I think it turned out great. And finally, I ended off the day at Virgil Flaim Skatepark in Lake City with my homie Gabe, and we got to talk about our days, have a beer, and skate the last of our energy out until the sun went down.
I'm very grateful this day went well and I'm certainly looking forward to a great summer filled with skateboarding and amazing people! Looking forward to Go Skate Day 2025 already! See you in the next one.
