Smoothing PLA 3D prints with Sandpaper
I finally got round to testing out smoothing a PLA print with sandpaper. I started at 400 grit and increased this all the way to 2000. 4 different grit sandpapers were used and 15 mins was given on each, my shoulders almost gave up but I did manage to smooth the print a lot!! It felt so smooth I was genuinely surprised, however it didn't do much for the visual aspect. Didn't make it shine and if anything actually dulled it so I think after testing this I would always do a primer first and then just sand that or paint and sand.
