An anti-novel and meditation on the very possibility of writing and literature; a scandalous and prophetic denunciation of the corruption of contemporary society, politics, and economics; a precise and merciless analysis of human impulses and obsessions; and much more: Petrolio is Pasolini's ambitious project, a magnum opus he was working on when he was killed in 1975, which was intended to provide a reading—at once fragmentary and comprehensive—of the contemporary world. Antonio Negri will first offer a critical reading of the political thought expressed in Pasolini's posthumous novel and then discuss it with Francesca Cadel and Manuele Gragnolati.
