The Linux Systems Administrator analyzes and resolves issues involving the servers, hardware, applications, and software of the operating system. Linux operating system installation, configuration, and maintenance. A bachelor's degree in a related field may be necessary to become a Linux Systems Administrator. Monitors system performance and ensures security standards are met.

In addition, Linux Systems Administrators typically report to a project supervisor or manager and may require a Linux certification. Occasionally, a Linux Systems Administrator is directed in various aspects of their task. Obtaining experience with some of the complex responsibilities of the job function. Typically, two to four years of relevant experience is needed to work as a Linux Systems Administrator.
