This was the Suck Valley Way. We really enjoyed it!
The Suck Valley Way is a 105km loop from Castlerea through to Ballygar and back again. It goes through nine "friendly villages" - Ballintober, Dunamon, Castlecoote, Athleague, Mount Talbot, Ballygar, Creggs, Glinsk, and Ballymoe. They lived up to their name! We met many friendly people on this trail - one lady opened a pub in order to give us a cup of coffee, and our experience at Cuisle in Dunamon Castle was among the nicest we've ever had on these trails. Sadly, a lot of the footage from this trail was missing audio, and so we don't have any of the parts where I thanked the landowners profusely. This trail had more farmland than any of the others that we've walked, and nearly all of it had seperate walking paths just for people walking the trail. That said, if you're thinking about doing it, I would strongly recommend bringing a stick and knowing how to handle cattle - and being prepared to take long detours around bulls.
I know I already said it in the video, but thank you so very much to Cuisle in Dunamon - they were so incredibly nice to us.
