MY FIRST MINING RIG: PART 4 - MINING SOFTWARE. Phoenix Miner, Ethermine, and HiveOS.
*It has come to my attention that the mega site where Phoenix Miner is downloaded from has been deleted. I am still running 5.5c, and I believe I am still okay. DO NOT DOWNLOAD PHOENIXMINER 5.5d! A lot of bad actors are spreading a supposed malicious 5.5d version. At this time, I am not aware of how to get the safe and legit version of 5.5c. If you are looking to get into mining, the only safe advice I can give you at this time is to go through Hive OS. They have a list of miners you can use, and they are in control of the software versions. To my knowledge, Hive has not downloaded the infected version. But, from there, you can also try T-Rex miner, or Ethminer if you are wary of using Phoenix Miner at this moment.*
Hey guys! In this last video for my "First" series, I'm going to show you the mining pool I use, my mining software, and also a little bit of Hive OS, that I used to set up the AMD mining rig.
*I might have made it seem like the blue line in Ethermine was not important for your rig, but it is! The higher the blue line, the more correct shares have been reported from your cards, and thus the more you'll be getting paid. The green line is basically just reporting that your cards are running and working, but not necessarily that they've generated any income.
And the orange line is not the average between the two, it's the average of all your successful shares. I derped, ahaha!
