Enjoyment 3/10, mind-numbing
don't let her in is a simple, albeit soulless RM- & WSD-inspired horror game.
The gameplay is quite uninspired and lackluster, as it does not have anything truly unique about it to hook you. I can name every feature in this game from another game, which yes creating a unique game is difficult in this age but even the plot of the game is just a variant of a typical WSD storyline. For the night being over 12 minutes you would want the game to have engaging gameplay which don't let her in is really just missing. Most of the gameplay gets watered down to walking around the house aimlessly for up to minutes at a time to then close the window on your ex-wife, winding the music box with that free time you get after or fueling the fireplace. It is a boring, mindless gameplay loop that provides no excitement, tension or fun. This game genuinely had me fall asleep during an attempt of mine.
The difficulty of this game is not challenging, even when you are not winding the music box on Hell Mode. The lights are near useless because even if you do not close the window on your ex-wife, she simply gets in and damages you slowly enough to where it is easier and more effective to just not deal with checking the dark room.
During the night you must survive two main threats, the fireplace and your ex-wife.
If the fireplace goes out, you must get a wood log from your backyard to start it up again, if you do not you will slowly freeze to death.
Your ex-wife will appear to break in through the windows while you are inside, and attempt to follow you inside when you are outside. If she does get inside, you must grab the baby and hide in a closet, after which she will leave the house. Once she is gone, close the front door to prevent her from getting back in.
