Why do trials come?
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said:
The test of a servant is according to his religion. If he is firm and strong in his religion, his test is more, and if his faith is weak, his test is less according to that. The servant is constantly subjected to trials, even as He purifies him so that he is walking on the earth and there is no sin on him. (Ibn Majah: 4023)
