Nipple thrush is commonly diagnosed when women experience nipple pain when breastfeeding. But is it really thrush?
At our practice we see this most days, and it is rarely thrush but rather is pain from microtrauma and inflammation from a suboptimal latch.
Fix the latch and the pain and inflammation usually settles and goes away.
