Billy the Kid - Gone - New Song Live at the Garrick Theatre (Canadian Version)
http://www.billythekidonline.com Finished writing this then recorded it on my iPhone between soundcheck and doors opening at the Garrick Theatre in Bonavista Newfoundland
By the time I got to Deer Lake
My money was all gone
And you were waiting by the station
Wondering what went wrong
And I was sorry
I never told you
I didn't love you anyway
But by the time we got to Springdale
I didn't know what to say
Do you remember Manitoba
When we were flat out and alone
And I was driving
Playing Springsteen
90 songs in a row
Well I am sorry
I never told you
That I have loved you all long
But by the time we got Vernon
You were already gone
When I was restless
And abandoned
Like those all night drives at dawn
You were right there
Right there beside me
From B.C. to St. John's
And I'm sorry
I didn't notice
You never loved me anyway
For what it's worth dear
And i hope you know this
I'd do it all over again
Cause I remember
Manitoba
When we were flat out alone
And you were driving
Playing Gaslight
90 songs in a row
Well I'm sorry
I never told you
That I have loved you all along
But by the time
We got to Bayfiield
You were already gone
This highway's gonna end
And I will miss you beside me
And if you change your mind again
You know where to find me
You know where you can find me
Just remember Manitoba
When we were flat out and alone
And I was driving
Playing Neil Young
For 89 songs in a row
Well I'm sorry
I never told you
That I have loved you all along
But by the time we got to Sydney
You were already gone
By the time we got to Bayfield
You were already gone
By the time we got to Oakville
You were already gone
