I've got a T2 Alpha Catalyst expiring in less than 24 hours so let's hope we can pull someone amazing and rank him/her up to Rank 4!
Regarding the 4* Ban / 5* & 6* Champion only requirements in Act 6, I'm against the idea mainly for 3 reasons:
Heavily reliant on your LUCK to pull 5* version of champions that are able to counter the opponents.
Using 4* champion to clear (regardless if it's low / god tier) = too weak / not skilful?
Kabam has yet to justify why 4* are banned (my speculation: roadblock to synergies)
I always love to find the best champions and possible alternatives (it can be 3* / 4*) to counter the monthly event quests and challenges. Taking 4* away would mean no matter how skilful one is, or has strategised, one have to wait, earn and pray for the Kabam CEO luck to get either the best or capable option to counter a path with the least amount of revives obviously.
Waiting for Kabam's RNG on crystals can become an issue with the 5* basic pool expanding every 2 weeks. Which means the chances of getting the best or capable option will / might decrease. So ultimately...units for revives?
Ignoring synergies for now
Kabam is making Act 6 and possibly future contents to be based on rarity of your champions rather than relying on your skills to progress forward. I honestly wouldn't mind as much if Kabam had a 4* synergies barrier in Act 6 rather restraining all the 4* since it's less punishing...
It's less than 24 hours until Act 6 is finally released...we'll just have to see what they have in store for us.
