Step 1: Log in to the Azure Portal
Go to the Azure Portal website (portal.azure.com) and sign in with your Azure account credentials.
Step 2: Navigate to Resource Groups
Once you're logged in, click on the "Resource groups" option in the left-hand side menu. This will display a list of all your resource groups.
Step 3: Select the Resource Group to Delete
From the list of resource groups, locate and select the one you want to delete. Click on its name to open the resource group details page.
Step 4: Delete the Resource Group
On the resource group details page, click on the "Delete resource group" button. A confirmation dialog will appear, asking you to confirm the deletion.
Step 5: Confirm Deletion
Read the confirmation message carefully to ensure you're deleting the correct resource group. If you're certain, click on the "Delete" button to proceed.
Step 6: Monitor Deletion Progress
Once you initiate the deletion, Azure will start the process and display a notification indicating the progress. You can monitor the progress in the Azure Portal.
Step 7: Verification
After the deletion process completes, verify that the resource group has been deleted. You can go back to the "Resource groups" section and ensure the deleted resource group is no longer listed.
Note: Deleting a resource group will also delete all the resources contained within it, so make sure you have backed up any important data or resources before proceeding with the deletion.
