"Working from home is a really great way to maintain a flexible schedule; take care of members of your household; run your own business; and for many of us, it can be necessary. Musicians especially must work hard from home on a daily basis to keep up our skills and improve without any outside input for our individual practice sessions.
Now especially, as of March 2020, schools are temporarily shutting down, businesses are working remotely, large-scale events are cancelled, and individuals are practicing self-isolation all over the world to avoid the spread of COVID-19.
On the more positive side, this has been an encouraging opportunity for everyone to develop skills to be self-sufficient
and motivated in spite of scary global prospects!
But, it's hard to stay motivated when it's all up to you!
Nobody is telling you what to do, how to do it, and there are no deadlines. Especially when the news is so dark and it's easy to feel depressed and overwhelmed, how is a person to stay engaged, motivated, and productive?"
