Vanguard Report - What Happened in the Presage? Dead Man's Tale Exotic Quest | Destiny 2 Lore
A new mystery has been uncovered in orbit of the Reef. Darkness, a lost guardian, a new weapon. Let's look at what happened in the Presage mission. Notes below!
Brief notes on the events:
Guardians found a distress call in Cabal-infested EDZ territory
The call was from a Guardian, in the Reef, the call was touched by Darkness
The call was coming from a ship, the Glykon, formerly Calus' ship
Power fluctuations, Scorn throughout, strange flora everywhere
Experiments on the Scorn were found, and journals from Calus' scribe
Calus was trying to communicate with the Darkness via an anomaly
The vaulted planets are not missing, but surrounded in these anomalies
The Darkness drove all the Scorn mad, except for one who spoke with the voices of the dead
The Guardian was found, strung up by the flora, killed
We took their weapon, and found a page of a lore book (more coming)
The book confirms that Calus was trying to commune with the Darkness, thought of himself as some kind of god, and gives hints regarding his true form
